Rooted in the Jesuit tradition, the Woods College of Advancing Studies offers retreats and service experiences to support the intellectual, social, and spiritual formation of our students. Through our Manresa Retreats and Woods for Others programs, students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to self-reflect and explore ways to make a difference in the world.
Retreats are an opportunity to have real conversations with other students about finding and pursuing passions, relax and discover meaning and purpose in your life.Step back from your busy life to think about how your major and future career fit in with who you really are.
The Woods for Others program is designed to enhance student engagement through community building, service, and reflection. In-person and virtual events are open to Woods students, alumni, and faculty members.
Students who are passionate about service and are seeking community within Woods College will have the opportunity to be part of the Advisory Board and put their leadership skills into practice.

“I feel like I didn’t do much beforehand to give back to the community. I felt like it was my job to give back in some ways. I saw the Woods opportunity and I was like, well this is perfect because this is exactly what I want to do.”
