Mary Beth Chopas is a judicial law clerk for the United States District Court of Massachusetts. Previously, she served as a lecturer at Harvard law School, an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina School of Law, and a senior lecturing fellow at Duke University School of Law. Prior to that, Chopas served as the Climenko-Thayer Lecturer at Harvard Law School, where she taught the First-Year Lawyering Program.
Chopas is a BC Law graduate. After law school, she clerked for Justice William R. Johnson of the New Hampshire Supreme Court and worked as a litigation associate before becoming the assistant attorney general in Government Bureau/Trial Division of the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General.
