Open Rank, Tenure Track Position in Moral Theology (Environmental Ethics)
The Ecclesiastical Faculty of the Boston College Clough School of Theology and Ministry (CSTM) seeks applicants for a full-time, open-rank, and tenure-track position in moral theology. The preferred candidate will have a focus on environmental ethics, as well as the willingness to teach fundamental moral theology, and a commitment to engage perspectives arising beyond the Euro-American context. Other areas of ethical inquiry that complement existing offerings within the CSTM are also desirable. Candidates must be Roman Catholics committed to core Catholic teachings and approach their teaching and research with sensitivity to pastoral commitments and to the diversities evident in the global church. At the time of application, candidates must hold an earned doctorate in Catholic moral theology or Christian ethics. Since supervision of theses for candidates in the STL program will be a significant aspect of the successful candidate鈥檚 role in the CSTM, the possession of, or willingness and eligibility to pursue, the STL is required.
